Michelle (Morrison) O'Reilly was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where she attended Crawford Adventist Academy for 12 years. After high school, she continued her Adventist education at West Indies College and Oakwood College, graduating from Oakwood in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Her first teaching assignment was at Ephesus Junior Academy in Birmingham, Alabama. It was at that assignment that she met her husband Kevin, whose niece was a student in her class. After moving to Atlanta, she attended Clark Atlanta University where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Education in 2002. Mrs. O'Reilly has been teaching at DAJA for the past 11 years. She has taught most grade levels from Pre-K and Kindergarten through 8th grade. She has enjoyed organizing and over seeing several initiatives at DAJA over the years including debate teams, drama productions, a ladies signing group, three educational tours, and most recently, a sewing classes. Mrs. O'Reilly and her husband of ten years, Kevin, have two precious children, Justin 6 and Maya 3, who attends Decatur Adventist Early Learning Center. Mrs. O'Reilly's favorite text is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". She wishes to meet with all her present and former students to greet our Savior face to face when he comes in the clouds of glory. |
